Tweet your predictions of the teams to make the 2014 NCAA Tournament field for a chance to win a Starbucks gift card from Off the Block.
The Off the Block Pick-Six Twitter Challenge is a new social media contest where individuals before the start of the season can tweet the six teams they predict will make the upcoming Division I-II men’s volleyball NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament for the 2014 season will have a new six-team format with four conference automatic bids and two at-large bids in the tournament field. This is the first time since men’s volleyball became a NCAA sanctioned sport in 1970 that the national tournament will be expanded beyond four teams.
Twitter challenge participants before the season begins Wednesday can tweet the six teams they predict will make the 2014 NCAA Tournament to the official Off the Block Twitter account, @offtheblock11.
The person who accurately predicts all six teams to make the NCAA Tournament will receive a $20 Starbucks gift card courtesy of Off the Block. In the event that multiple people successfully select all six NCAA Tournament participants, one contestant from the first-place tweets will be randomly selected for the grand prize.
Off the Block is a national-award winning website that covers college men’s volleyball. In addition, Off the Block in recent years has conducted similar social media contests throughout each season via Twitter ranging from people having to accurately select the NCAA Tournament MVP to predicting the champion of the annual Volleyball Hall of Fame Morgan Classic.
The deadline to submit a prediction for the Off the Block Pick-Six Twitter Challenge is 6 p.m. (CST) Wednesday.
