The annual Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Preseason All-American Teams will expand for the upcoming season to include a NCAA Division III list.
Off the Block announced Thursday afternoon that along with releasing its NCAA Division I-II Preseason All-American Team the college men’s volleyball website will add a Division III Preseason All-American Team for the 2014 season.
While several volleyball organizations present national awards every season, Off the Block is the only one to present men’s volleyball Preseason All-American Teams. This also will be the first Preseason All-American Team released for Division III men’s volleyball by any organization.
The Division III Preseason All-American Teams will be selected by a nationwide voting committee of coaches. In addition, the Division I-II Preseason All-American Teams will continue to be chosen by voting committee comprised of coaches and media members from around the nation.
Off the Block has annually presented the men’s volleyball Division I-II Preseason All-American Teams since 2011.
Along with the addition of a Division III Preseason All-American Team, Off the Block announced Thursday that Springbak, Inc. will be the official sponsor of the 2014 Preseason All-American Teams. Springbak, Inc. produces high performance footwear used by professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, U.S. Olympic teams and the top college teams in the nation.
Both the 2014 Division I-II and Division III Preseason All-American Teams will be released in early December on Off the Block’s website, offtheblockblog.com.
