Add getting a home match against the two-time defending NCAA champions to the list of Ball State’s accomplishments this year.
Ball State coming off its first 20-win season in almost five years will play a home match against the national champions UC Irvine during the 2014 season, according to a recent report from WCRD Ball State play-by-play announcer CJ Allard.
This will be the first time since 2000 that the Cardinals and Anteaters have played other in a non-conference match. In addition, it will be Ball State’s first non-conference home match against a MPSF school since 2010 when it upset then-No. 3 Cal State Northridge.
