Ball State extended its winning streak to a historic milestone and clinched a home match for the conference tournament as it defeated No. 6 Lewis 25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-15 on Thursday in Muncie.
With this victory, Ball State is now on an 11-match winning streak — tying the program’s longest winning streak in more than 20 years. In addition, the Cardinals have clinched the No. 4 seed for the MIVA Tournament and still controls their own fate for the No. 3 seed.
The loss for Lewis prevented it from winning its first MIVA regular season championship in program history. However, the Flyers can still accomplish the feat if they wins their regular season finale.
