I guess UCI will be #1 again next week, but beyond that I couldn’t even guess at the rankings. As far as I’m concerned, Stanford and Hawaii, both nights, were the sporting event of the weekend. Who cares about that football game tomorrow night. This was why I’m a sports fan. Here’s my write-up:

I also wrote a little on UCSD/UCLA, but the lack of an on-screen scoreboard on the webcast made it a tad hard to follow.
But wow, I’m still catching my breath after that Hawaii match. I have no rooting interest in that match (really don’t have one at all in men’s volleyball), but I was cheering and clapping in that final set just because it was such an amazing match. Though you know, if anything, it’s a match like that that might /give/ me a rooting interest. It was awesome stuff, and it resonated with me really deeply like only a few sporting events ever have.
