Olympics Players of the Day

United States — Outside attacker TJ DeFalco finished with a match-high 21 kills on a .444 attack percentage in a four-game victory against Tunisia.

Argentina — Outside attacker Cristian Poglajen had a team-high 14 kills on a .423 attack percentage and added two blocks in a five-game victory against France.

Brazil — Middle attacker Lucas Saatkamp had both a team-high six kills on a .500 attack percentage and two blocks in a three-game loss to Russia.

Canada — Outside attacker John Gordon Perrin had a match-high 14 kills while hitting .500 as Canada swept Iran.

France — Outside attacker Trevor Clevenot had a team-high 20 kills on a .567 attack percentage in a five-game loss to Argentina.

Iran — Outside attacker Milad Ebadipour had a match-high five aces and added six kills in a three-game loss to Canada.

Italy — Middle attacker Gianluca Galassi had eight kills and zero errors on a .727 attack percentage and added three blocks as Italy defeated the host-nation Japan in four games.

Japan — Outside attacker Yuiki Ishikawa led Japan with 18 kills on a .308 attack percentage in a four-game loss to Italy.

Poland — Outside attacker Kamil Semeniuk finished with a tournament-high six aces and led Poland with 18 kills on a .571 attack percentage in a four-game victory against Venezuela.

Russia — Outside attacker Dmitry Volkov had 13 kills on a .400 attack percentage along with both a team-high four blocks and two aces as Russia swept Brazil.

Tunisia — Opposite Wassim Ben Tara led Tunisia with 13 kills in a four-game loss to the United States.

Venezuela — Outside attacker Ronald Daniel Fayola Hurtado had a team-high 12 kills on a .400 attack percentage in a four-game loss to Poland.
