Fresh off a pair of victories over Saint Francis on the road, No. 10 NJIT is back in the national media poll released on Tuesday morning.
Senior outside attacker Alvaro Gimeno was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Highlanders with 28 combined kills on a .358 attack percentage to go along with ten digs, six aces and five blocks.
Hawai’i received all 12 first place votes for the third straight week, and the fourth time out of the last five weeks.
No. 5 Long Beach State switched spots with idle No. 6 Pepperdine, while No. 7 UCLA also switched spots with No. 8 Penn State.
The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
