Off the Block announced Sunday its schedule for the college men’s volleyball national awards that it will present this season.
Each season Off the Block presents a variety of player and media awards to recognize outstanding individual performances in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball from around the nation.
Among the awards that the college men’s volleyball website will present this season includes the Lloy Ball Award for the nation’s top setter, the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. Freshmen All-American Team, the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Blocker of the Year and the Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Server of the Year. This also will be the inaugural year that Off the Block presents the Karch Kiraly Award for the nation’s top outside attacker, the Bryan Ivie Award for the nation’s top opposite and the Off the Block All-Independent Team.
A new feature to the award process this season will be Off the Block unveiling all the finalists to its top individual awards on a single-day.
Off the Block will announce the finalists for the Lloy Ball Awrd, Bryan Ivie Award, Karch Kiraly Award, National Blocker of the Year and National Server of the Year on Tuesday, April 21.
Every player award presented by Off the Block is voted upon by nationwide committee comprised of college men’s volleyball coaches and media members. In addition, the media awards presented by Off the Block come following a season-long media analysis of men’s volleyball coverage from around the nation.
